Lesson #3

Paired activity (two people). Imagine you are a detective investigating a mysterious case. Your partner is a seasoned investigator who has valuable information about various nouns (people, places, and objects) related to the case. As you go through the investigation, your partner will describe a noun, and you will provide a verb (action or activity) associated with that noun. Together, you'll uncover clues and unravel/solve the mystery.

Direction:

  1. Begin with your partner describing a noun related to the case.
  2. Respond with a verb that reflects an action or activity connected to the noun.
  3. Keep alternating between your partner and yourself, with your partner providing nouns and you providing verbs.
  4. Incorporate the nouns and verbs into a cohesive narrative as you investigate the case.

Evaluation criteria:

  1. How much you used the words from the list
  2. Whether you used them with the proper meaning
  3. whether you employed good grammar
